Ion Lacatus cleared over death outside Norwich nightclub

A 27-year-old man from London has been cleared of killing a man outside a nightclub in Norwich.

Ion Lacatus was found not guilty of the manslaughter charge at Norwich Crown Court.

Police said Alan Jewitt, 43, of Gertrude Road, Norwich, died after he was punched on 12 August outside Chicago's on Prince of Wales Road.

A post-mortem examination revealed that Mr Jewitt had died of a bleed to the brain.
