Harleston police stand-off: Man bailed

A man arrested after a five-and-a-half hour stand-off in a Norfolk town has been given police bail pending further inquiries.

The 45-year-old man was being questioned on suspicion of causing fear of violence with a firearm or imitation firearm in Harleston last Tuesday.

Armed units were called to Martin Road and arrested the man after a shot was fired.

He was treated for minor injuries at Gorleston's James Paget Hospital.
