An investigation has started into a fire at a paper shredding plant on a Norwich industrial estate.

The blaze broke out at PHS Datashred in Wendover Road on Rackheath industrial estate at about 08:50 GMT on Wednesday.

Neighbouring buildings were evacuated as crews tackled the fire which had spread to the unit's roof and later collapsed.

A fire service spokesman said it was too early to say if the cause of the fire was suspicious.

Crews are still at the scene, damping down the embers from outside the building, and the fire service said it was too dangerous to go inside.

A 100m (328ft) police cordon around the site has been removed but the unit is still sealed off while investigations take place.
