A 25-year-old man who went missing following a stag do in Norfolk was found in a car submerged in a river, a coroner has confirmed.

Charles Watson, from Henstead, Suffolk, went missing at about 2:30 BST on 9 April after a night out in Great Yarmouth.

His body was found in the New Cut, in St Olaves, Norfolk, on Friday, a coroner's spokeswoman said.

An inquest will be opened in Norwich on Wednesday.

Police said on Friday that the body was believed to be that of Mr Watson. He has now been formally identified.

Mr Watson, known as Sam, had been due to stay with a friend in Great Yarmouth.

He was reported missing by his family on 10 April.
