Great Yarmouth murder police ask taxi drivers for help

Taxi drivers are being asked to help police investigating the murder of a 44-year-old man in a Norfolk resort.

Derek Blake's body was found at an address in St Nicholas Road, Great Yarmouth on Thursday 24 May.

Police believe a taxi may have picked up two men and a woman in St Nicholas Road, Great Yarmouth, or close by, slightly after 10:40 BST on that day.

"The three customers were delivered to Beccles, arriving at around 11:15 BST," Det Chief Insp Andy Guy said.

"They had with them a number of bags including a large heavy big black suitcase which one person would have struggled to carry."

Two men and a woman have appeared in court charged with the murder of Mr Blake who lived at Louise Court, in Great Yarmouth.

Andrew Brown, 42, Ricky Roys, 20, and 18-year-old Helen Cooke, all of St Nicholas Road, were remanded in custody at Norwich Crown Court and will appear again on 23 July.
