A lorry driver has died following a crash on the A47 south of Norwich.

The road was closed in both directions for much of the day after the accident involving a lorry and a car between the A11 and A140 junctions.

The A47 has since partly reopened in both directions following the crash, which happened at about 10:00 BST.

The lorry came to rest across the central reservation of the dual carriageway after colliding with a Seat Leon while heading eastbound.

The female driver of the car was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Police, ambulance crews, the fire service and the East Anglian Air Ambulance attended the crash.

An investigation is under way and Norfolk Police are appealing for witnesses.
