Three men have been taken to hospital after a chemical incident at a pharmaceutical company in Norfolk.

Fire crews, including a chemical incident unit, and ambulances were called to the Bespak plant in Bergen Way, King's Lynn at about 18:45 GMT.

A Norfolk Fire Service spokesman said it is believed the incident involved formaldehyde gas.

An ambulance spokesman said three men were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn, as a precaution.

He said the three were not badly hurt.

The fire service said there was no public safety hazard.

Bespak is part of the Consort Medical Company which says it is a "global supplier of drug delivery devices for injectable and inhaled products".
