A11 crash: Person dies after Besthorpe smash in Norfolk

One person has died following a crash involving a horse box and a van on a major route into Norfolk.

Police said the crash happened on the northbound stretch of the A11 at Besthorpe at about 15:40 BST.

Air ambulance paramedics and the fire service were in attendance. The two horses in the box were uninjured, police added.

Motorists were being advised to avoid the area, with the northbound road due to be closed for part of the evening.
