Cringleford gas main damage: 560 homes reconnected

Engineers have reconnected gas to 560 homes on a housing development in Norfolk after supplies were lost when contractors damaged a main.

The GTC main at the estate off Newmarket Road in Cringleford was hit on Wednesday.

The National Grid said all but 120 homes had been reconnected.

The only homes still without gas are homes engineers have not been able to gain access to, said a spokesman.
