Man arrested after armed police called to Norwich house

A man has been arrested after armed police were called to a house in Norwich.

At about 09:30 BST, Norfolk Police were called to the address in Great Eastern Court following concerns for the safety of a man.

Police said "as a result of information received officers, including armed units, were deployed to the scene".

A spokesman said the incident was "resolved safely and officers arrested a man, aged in his 40s".

He has been taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre where he will be questioned later.
