Two people were rescued off the north Norfolk coast after falling from a pier.

The inshore lifeboat was called shortly after 02:00 BST to the sea around Cromer Pier.

It is thought the two people were photographers who had slipped from the side of the 151m (495ft) long pier.

They were safely on board the lifeboat unharmed about quarter of an hour after falling in. Lifeboat spokesman Audrey Smith said: "They were very lucky."
