New policy on public open spaces in Daventry

People who want Daventry District Council to take over the running of public open spaces may be asked to provide funds for the upkeep.

The new policy says if the asset only benefits people in a small area, it is likely the body that hands it over will be asked to provide funding.

The council says it sometimes gets asked to take over assets such as open spaces, monuments or even some drains.

The policy was adopted after a public consultation on the plans.
