Girl and woman grabbing cases in Northampton linked

Police in Northampton are linking two cases in which a 13-year-old girl and a 44-year-old woman were grabbed in the street.

On Friday evening, a man grabbed a girl in Hayeswood Road. She managed to push him away.

On Monday afternoon, a man grabbed a woman in Waterpump Court and made suggestive comments. She also got away.

Police believe the same man is responsible and described him as black, in his late 20s, and 5ft 9in (1.75m)

He had a scruffy goatee beard and wore an unkempt, light-coloured padded jacket and light blue jeans.

He was carrying a black shoulder bag and was last seen in the Waterpump Court area of Northampton.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Northamptonshire Police.
