Development in Northampton promises to create 600 jobs

Plans have been approved for an office development and distribution centre near the M1, south of Northampton, that could create 600 jobs.

But before the project at Grange Park can go ahead developers must find firms to occupy buildings and agree community facilities for nearby residents.

West Northamptonshire Development Corporation approved the application.

Managers there claim it will breathe new life into Grange Park while creating up to 600 jobs.

But the deal is not yet finalised and there is still some consultation left to do, the development corporation added.
