Corby sex attack Good Samaritan sought

A man who came to the aid of a teenager when she was grabbed and pushed to the ground by two men in Corby is being sought by police.

The 18-year-old victim was walking through a wooded area, between the boating lake and George Street, when she was attacked on Saturday afternoon.

The men are in their mid 20s, one was 5ft 8in (1.72m) and stocky, while the other was 6ft (1.83m) and very slim.

Police described the helper as a crucial witness.

Fluorescent laces

The shorter of the two offenders had short brown hair and was unshaven with a thick moustache. He was wearing black jogging bottoms and a black jacket.

The second man had very short, dark brown or black hair, a stubbly beard and sharp features. He was wearing dark jogging bottoms and a black hooded zip-up top.

His trainers were black with fluorescent laces.

Police patrols have been increased and the public are asked to be aware and report anything suspicious.
