Woman injured in Northampton house fire dies
A woman taken to hospital after being rescued from a house fire in Northampton has died from her injuries.
Firefighters and police were called to Allard Close in the early hours of Monday.
A man and a 10-year-old child had already escaped from the property and fire crews were able to rescue the woman.
Police said the woman, who was taken to Northampton General Hospital in a critical condition, died on Wednesday.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated by Northamptonshire Police and Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service, and forensic examinations are taking place.
