Northampton paratrooper attack witness contacts police

A potential witness sought by police investigating the death of a paratrooper attacked in Northampton has contacted officers.

Rory McWilliams, 20, a medic and soldier, was assaulted in St Peter's Way car park on 6 February and died in hospital on 12 February.

A 25-year-old man from Northampton has been charged with his manslaughter.

On Tuesday, a CCTV image of a witness sought by police was issued to the media and he contacted officers.
