New rangers to improve Northampton parks

Three new rangers are to be recruited by Northampton Borough Council to improve its parks.

The new rangers will work at open spaces in Abington, Delapre and the Racecourse.

Each ranger will be dedicated to working with the community to improve the park under their care.

Michael Hill, the council's cabinet member for neighbourhood working, said the new posts showed the authority's commitment to parks and play areas.

"Our premier parks play a key role in the life of the town and I am sure that the public will welcome these appointments as a positive step towards improving what our parks have to offer," Mr Hill said.
