Silverstone owner signs investment exclusivity deal

Officials at Silverstone have confirmed the signing of an exclusive agreement with a potential investor.

The investor, who has not been named, has secured the period of exclusivity to compile due diligence.

The British Racing Drivers Club (BRDC), which owns the circuit, has recently submitted plans to develop the 760-acre estate.

Investment is needed for the development which includes hotels, a business park and a museum.

The BRDC has recently developed the racing circuit, with a new pit and paddock area unveiled in May.
