Lead thieves target six churches around Daventry

Six churches in and around a Northamptonshire town have had lead stolen from their roofs.

Thieves have targeted buildings in the Daventry area over the past fortnight.

Lead has been stolen from St Mary's in Holcot, St Mary's in Everdon, St Peter's in Walgrave, St Mary's in Dodford, St Mary's in Badby and Holy Trinity in Charwelton.

Northamptonshire police said isolated buildings were particularly vulnerable and urged the public to be vigilant.
