Lorry driver who died on the A5 in Northamptonshire on Friday named

Police have named the lorry driver who died in a crash on the A5 on Friday as 47-year-old Luke David Carter.

Mr Carter, who was from Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, died when his truck hit stationary lorries in a layby just before the roundabout for Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal.

He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 01:40 GMT.

Northamptonshire Police are appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the crash.
