A new website has been launched to promote Northampton as a good place to live and work.

The "Love Northampton" website has been set up to showcase the town to residents and attract new businesses to the area.

The website has information on Northampton's heritage, culture, sport, theatre, events and music.

The project has been co-ordinated by the borough council in partnership with more than 16 other organisations.

Northampton Borough Council said it decided to work with the various public and private organisations to make sure that people know that there is a lot going on.

Council leader David Mackintosh said: "We can't afford to be overlooked for investment and business, by shoppers and visitors."

The site has been developed with the help of Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership (NEP), Northampton Town Centre BID, Northamptonshire County Council, Northamptonshire Saints, Royal and Derngate and Northampton Town Football Club, among others.

"By encouraging everyone to get behind it, we can help to create an even better future for Northampton," Rob Purdie, executive director, of NEP, said.
