Northamptonshire stun-gun robbers sought

A boy and man were robbed of their mobile phones by three men armed with a stun gun in Northamptonshire.

The robberies happened separately on the Queensway estate in Wellingborough on Friday night.

One of the robbers wore a balaclava and another was carrying what police describe as an "implement" with "sparks" coming from it.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact police.

Two of the offenders are thought to be white, and the third was black and about 6ft 5in tall (1.98m).

In the first robbery, two boys were approached by the men in the park area of Olympic Way in Wellingborough between 20:00 GMT and 21:30.

A man was then robbed by what police believe to be the same group.

Det Con Michael Ringrose, of Wellingborough CID, said that officers would patrol the estate but warned young people to be careful with their phones.
