Wellingborough sex attacks: Sixth case reported

Police investigating a series of sex assaults in the Northamptonshire town of Wellingborough have said a further incident has been reported.

The attack, on a 24-year-old woman on 30 January, could be linked to five assaults since January, police said.

The woman was grabbed as she walked along Cannon Street at 10:15 GMT.

Det Mark Pattison said: "Officers are working round the clock to find the offender and ensure the safety of the public in Wellingborough."

Last week, police urged women not to walk alone at night.

In the five other offences, the attacker has exposed himself before indecently assaulting the victims.

The suspect is a white man in his late teens to early 20s who covers his face during the attacks.
