A logistics company has marked its official opening by vowing to bring an extra 300 jobs to Corby.

Advanced Supply Chain officially opened its Eisemann Way site in the town and already employs about 100 people in the town.

A further 300 jobs are planned for the future, said chief executive officer of the company Mike Danby.

"We have got a long term commitment to Corby, we are here and we are staying," he said.

The move comes at a time when other companies in the town are makiing redundancies.

In February Argos and Eddie Stobart announced their intention to move their logistics bases out of the town.
