A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 72-year-old coin and medal trader in Northampton.

Giuseppe Miceli, who ran his trading business from home, was found dead with head injuries at his bungalow in Bants Lane, Duston, on 13 July.

Mark Ellson, 40, of no fixed address, attended a hearing at Northampton Crown Court earlier.

He will next appear at Birmingham Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on 28 October.
