Members of the public who went to the aid of a 20-year-old man who suffered serious head injuries in an attack in Kettering may be key witnesses, say police.

The victim was assaulted in the early hours of Sunday morning in Silver Street.

He remains in Kettering General Hospital, with serious head injuries.

Police want to talk to members of the public who helped the man immediately after he was assaulted.
