Staples warehouse will bring 170 new jobs to Corby

Up to 170 jobs will be created in Northamptonshire when office retail company Staples moves into a warehouse in Corby.

The company is expected to move into the Rockingham Estate next year.

Leader of Corby Borough Council, Tom Beattie, said the move would bring "invaluable jobs and further economic growth" to the area.

"This is excellent news for Corby," he said.

Chief executive of Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership, Jo Lappin, said the 170 additional jobs were "excellent news" for the people of Corby.

Earlier this month, Greencore Group revealed they would be employing 250 new staff at a facility under construction in Moulton Park, Northampton.

The sandwich makers said they were having to recruit staff from Hungary because of "very low unemployment in Northamptonshire".
