Man charged after Hucknall street attack

A 19-year-old man has been charged with affray after a young woman was attacked in Nottinghamshire.

The assault happened on High Street, Hucknall, in the early hours of Saturday.

The woman, 18, suffered a broken collarbone and injuries to her face.

Nicky Frow, 19, of Kibworth Close, Nottingham appeared at Mansfield Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. He was remanded into custody.

He has also been charged with driving a car without the owner's consent and driving without insurance.

Man assaulted

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and has now been released.

A 25-year-old man and girl, 16, arrested on suspicion of assault shortly after the incident have been released on police bail.

Detectives investigating the attack are also investigating an alleged assault on a man in High Street around the same time.

They have been unable to trace the man and have appealed for him to contact them.

They also want to speak to anyone who witnessed the attacks or who knows the man who was assaulted.
