A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a father-of-two who was shot outside his Nottinghamshire home eight years ago.

David Draycott, 40, of Woodlands Way, Sutton in Ashfield, was shot several times on 7 October 2002.

He died four days later in King's Mill Hospital.

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Police said a 54-year-old man, originally from Basford, was arrested at HMP Whitemoor on Thursday.

Mr Draycott, who was a businessman, had just arrived home when he was shot.
