Two boys injured in hit-and-run in Worksop

Police are hunting a hit-and-run driver in Nottinghamshire who left a 13-year-old boy with a badly broken leg.

The crash between the car, believed to be a silver-grey saloon, and two boys on bicycles happened in Bridge Place, Worksop, at 1940 GMT on Tuesday.

The car knocked the teenagers off their bikes before driving into the Priory Centre car park.

The second boy, aged 14, was treated for minor injuries.

The 13-year-old was taken to Bassetlaw District General Hospital where he had an operation.

Nottinghamshire Police want to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
