Stockton man charged with kidnap and burglary

A 26-year-old man has been charged with kidnap and burglary after being arrested by Nottinghamshire Police.

Joseph Lowther, whose last known address was in Stockton-on-Tees, was arrested in Worksop on Wednesday.

He is accused of kidnap, burglary, fraud and receiving stolen goods for offences committed in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Durham.

Mr Lowther was remanded in custody after appearing at Chesterfield Magistrates' Court.

He is due to reappear there on 29 March.
