Man who died following Newark A17 lorry collision named

Police have named a 59-year-old driver who died following a crash on the A17 in Nottinghamshire on Monday.

Neil Hunt, from Lowestoft in Suffolk, was trapped inside his MGF sports car for two hours before being freed by firefighters.

He was airlifted to Lincoln County Hospital suffering from multiple injuries and later died.

His car collided with a van and a lorry outside the entrance to Newark Golf Club, Beckingham, at 0750 BST.

The driver of the Vauxhall Astra van suffered minor injuries. The lorry driver was uninjured.
