Boy, 14, charged with Jacqueline Bartlam murder

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of a woman whose body was found in a burning Nottingham house.

The woman, named as Jacqueline Bartlam, 47, was found by fire crews at her house on Georgia Drive, Redhill, in the early hours of 25 April.

A post-mortem examination showed she died from head injuries.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court and was remanded into secure local authority accommodation.

He is next due to appear at the court on 9 June.
