Radcliffe-on-Trent child dog attack man is charged

A man has been charged after a dog attacked a two-year-old girl and her mother in Nottinghamshire.

The girl suffered scratches and her mother suffered a broken bone in her hand and puncture wounds in High Street, Radcliffe-on-Trent, on 3 May.

An address in the town was raided on 6 May and a man arrested. A Staffordshire bull terrier has been destroyed.

A 30-year-old man has now been charged with allowing a dog to be dangerously out of control in a public place.

The man, who is not the dog's owner, is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on 13 May.
