A Nottinghamshire house has been badly damaged by fire.

Crews from three stations were called to the property on Green Platt in Cotgrave at about 2230 BST on Friday.

An aerial ladder was used by crews, who managed to prevent the fire spreading. Firefighters were at the scene for nearly four hours.

Gas and electricity supplies to the area had to be isolated. There are no reports of injuries and an investigation has begun into the cause.
