Police have been given more time to question two men arrested in connection with the murder of a Nottinghamshire man.

Jonathan Alun Turner, 27, of Forest Town, was found with serious head injuries outside the Social pub in Stockwell Gate, Mansfield, on 7 May.

The men, aged 24 and 19, were arrested on Monday night.

Two 22-year-old men, Bragdas Kilic and Vjaceslavs Solovjos, from Mansfield, have been charged with the murder.

Both were remanded in custody after appearing at Mansfield magistrates' court and will appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday.

A third man arrested in the case has been released without charge.

Mr Turner was taken to King's Mill Hospital in Sutton-in-Ashfield, but died on 8 May of head injuries.

His family released a statement describing him as "a wonderful, fun-loving daddy, much-loved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and true friend".

They said: "His loss is felt by so many."
