Two more men have appeared in court charged with the murder of a 27-year-old man in Nottinghamshire.

Jonathan Turner, from Forest Town, died on 8 May after being attacked in Mansfield.

Andrej Novakov, 19, from Kipling Street in Mansfield, and Miroslavav Budzinskis, 24, from Serlby Rise in Nottingham spoke only to confirm their names at Mansfield Magistrates' Court.

The two men, originally from Lithuania, were remanded in custody.

They are accused of murdering Mr Turner who was found with serious head injuries outside The Social pub on Stockwell Gate.

The two men will appear again at Nottingham Crown Court on 13 May.

Two other men, Bragdas Kilic and Vjaceslavs Solovjos, from Mansfield, both aged 22, have already been charged with murder.

In a statement released by Nottinghamshire Police, Mr Turner's family appealed for calm amid concerns about ill-feeling in the community following the 27-year-old's death.

"The most important thing is to let the police do their job and for justice to run its course," they said.
