Man seriously injured in attack in Nottingham

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 19-year-old man was seriously injured in an attack in Nottingham.

The man was attacked in Clumber Street at 0230 BST on Sunday morning, Nottinghamshire Police said.

The victim, who was with his fiancée, was punched to the ground before being repeatedly kicked in the head suffering a broken jaw.

Two men from Broxtowe, aged 18 and 21, were arrested and questioned about the incident.

Police said there were reports of several other attacks in the area around the same time.
