Nottingham boy rescued from washing machine

A six-year-old boy is recovering at home in Nottingham after he became trapped inside a washing machine.

Emergency crews were called to Riber Crescent, in Basford, on Monday night and used special tools to dismantle the machine to release the boy.

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue said one of the boy's legs was tightly caught in the drum causing him a lot of discomfort.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics.
