Three Nottingham men face anti-mosque graffiti charges

Three men have appeared before magistrates in Nottingham charged with hate crimes after graffiti was sprayed on the site of a proposed mosque.

Wayne Havercroft, 31, Nicholas Long, 21, and Robert Parnham, 19, admitted causing religiously aggravated alarm, harassment or distress.

The graffiti was found on Collington Way, in West Bridgford, on 23 June.

The three men, all from Nottingham, each denied a charge of religiously aggravated criminal damage.

Mr Havercroft, of Bestwood Village, Mr Long, of Arnold, and Mr Parnham, of Clifton, are due to appear again at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on 5 September.
