Burglars have stolen about 300 knives from an outdoor equipment business in Nottinghamshire.

Police said the knives were stolen from Kids Camo Kit on Grove Street, Mansfield Woodhouse, between 1830 BST on Monday and 0900 BST on Tuesday.

The blades, taken from an industrial unit, included survival, military, hunting and fishing knives and are thought be worth about £12,000.

Camping kit, water flasks and outdoor clothing were also stolen.

Insp Mark Webster, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: "A substantial amount of equipment was stolen in the burglary and the thieves may now try to sell the stolen items on.

"I would ask anyone with information or if anyone is offered these items for sale to contact police."

Officers are currently examining CCTV footage recorded in the area at the time of the burglary and are carrying out house-to-house inquiries.
