Woman injured in police 999 crash in Worksop

Police in Nottinghamshire have begun an investigation after a pedestrian was injured in a collision with a van and a police car.

The accident happened on Watson Road, in Worksop, at about 1720 BST on Friday.

A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire Police confirmed the patrol car was responding to a 999 call.

Police said a 32-year-old woman was hurt by a post which was knocked down during the crash.

The woman was taken to Bassetlaw Hospital for treatment where her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

No-one else was injured.
