Man remanded over sex attack on boy in Rainworth wood

A man has appeared in court accused of a sexual attack on a 10-year-old boy in Nottinghamshire woodland.

Officers were called to an area near Third Avenue in the village of Rainworth on Wednesday afternoon after reports of a serious sexual assault.

Shaun Edward Tudor, 43, appeared at magistrates charged with the attempted rape of a child aged under 13 and sexual touching of a child under 13.

Mr Tudor, born on 23 May 1968, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear at crown court at a date to be set.
