Charge over Newark police car arrow attack

A Nottinghamshire man has been charged with firearms offences and criminal damage after an attack on a police car.

Officers were called to an address in Welbeck Avenue, Newark, on Friday afternoon but came under attack.

A man in the property used weapons including a bow and arrow and an air weapon, resulting in a vehicle window being smashed.

A 48-year-old was taken into custody and was due to appear before Nottingham magistrates on Monday.

No-one was injured during the incident.
