Nottingham pedestrian dies after road crash

A 46-year-old pedestrian has died after being injured in a road accident in Nottingham.

The man was struck by a Vauxhall Corsa on Carlton Hill, close to the Earl of Chesterfield pub, late on Wednesday afternoon.

He was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre, but was pronounced dead about an hour later.

Anyone who witnessed the accident was asked to call Nottinghamshire Police's Crash Investigation Unit.
