Caroline Coyne murder: Police in Nottingham arrest man
A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a mother of two from Nottingham.
Caroline Coyne was found between two houses on Thorneywood Mount in St Ann's on Saturday morning.
A post-mortem examination found 28-year-old Ms Coyne, from Top Valley, who was the mother of two young sons, died from head injuries.
Nottinghamshire Police said they would be questioning the man throughout the day.
Det Ch Insp Tony Heydon said: "While an arrest has been made it is still imperative that if people have information they come forward and speak to us.
"We are gradually building a clear picture of Caroline's movements on the night she died, through information from the public and tracing her steps on CCTV.
"We still don't know why she was in this area, and whether she walked the whole journey."
Detectives have issued a number of appeals for anyone who might have seen Ms Coyne after she left a family party on Friday evening.
Police received a number of reports of Ms Coyne trying to flag down motorists on Porchester Road in Nottingham.
On Tuesday, police released CCTV footage of her on the same road captured by a passing bus, at 01:06 BST on Saturday.
Officers also revealed an earlier sighting in Breckhill Road, Mapperley, just after 00:30 on Saturday.
Ms Coyne, who had shoulder-length auburn hair, was wearing blue jeans with a brown belt, a pink T-shirt with FCUK printed in black on the front, and pink and white trainers.
Police said when her body was discovered, one of her size three trainers was missing.
More house-to-house inquiries are being carried out and further CCTV footage is being looked at.
