CCTV witness appeal over Caroline Coyne murder

A potential witness is being sought by police investigating the murder of a Nottingham mother of two.

Caroline Coyne, 26, was found with head injuries in Thorneywood Mount, St Ann's, on the morning of 23 July.

Officers said they wanted to talk to a man described as white, about 6ft (1.83m) tall, filmed by CCTV cameras near Porchester Road the night before.

The inquiry is still trying to discover why Ms Coyne was in the area, some distance from her home.

More than 200 people have been spoken to by officers and roadchecks have been carried out near to where her body was found.

A 26-year-old man arrested in connection with her murder has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Police earlier released CCTV footage of Ms Coyne in Porchester Road, Nottingham, which was filmed by a passing bus at 01:06 BST on Saturday.

Officers also revealed an earlier sighting in Breckhill Road, Mapperley, just after 00:30 on Saturday.

Ms Coyne, who had shoulder-length auburn hair, was wearing blue jeans with a brown belt, a pink T-shirt with FCUK printed in black on the front, and pink and white trainers.

Police are still searching for one of her size three pink trainers which was missing when her body was discovered.
