Armed gang targets Nottingham petrol station

An armed gang has stolen cash from a Nottingham petrol station.

Three masked men, one with a hammer, entered the Sainsbury's supermarket petrol station on Castle Marina in the early hours of Saturday.

The men, described as aged 18 to 20 and wearing dark clothing, jumped over the counter and threatened staff before making off with the money.

Appealing for witnesses, police said no-one had been injured but staff had been left badly shaken.
