Boy bailed over Hucknall National classroom fight

A 13-year-old boy arrested over a fight which left a Nottinghamshire school pupil seriously ill has been released on police bail.

A boy, also aged 13, is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after the incident at National Church of England Academy in Hucknall.

The year nine student sustained a head injury when he was punched in a classroom on Thursday morning.

He is being treated at Leicester's Glenfield Hospital.

The school said pupils who were in the class at the time of the fight had been given support by staff and the school chaplain.
